We are on the hunt for a highly motivated Brand Strategist/Planner to join our growing (and ruddy awesome) team in Birmingham.
As a close-knit team we all have a focus on continual growth and just like the businesses we work with, we truly believe you should never stand still.
The ideal applicant will have at least 5 years’ career experience in a branding, advertising or marketing role with a portfolio showcasing a clear flair for writing and a passion for brand and marketing strategy. We also want to hear from people who’ve taken an unconventional path to success.
Our strategy team at ORB are an extremely creative and innovative bunch and they’ve got a reputation for pushing the boundaries when it comes to researching, articulating and delivering brands for our diverse range of clients. We actively encourage people to push themselves creatively and think outside of the box because we believe it’s the best way to learn and grow.
You’ll be expected to flex your creative muscles from the beginning of every project, and you’ll make the big calls on whether we turn right or left at the end of the proverbial branding road. Previous experience in a strategic branding role is essential as is a solid understanding of brand activation for businesses, both internally and externally.
You should also be a lover of words, with a genuine desire to progress as a creative writer. It goes without saying, but you should have an almost annoying understanding of grammar and punctuation, and the ability to smash it at spelling bees.
As an agency, we encourage collaboration between all of our people so you’ll need to have great social skills, work well in a team, and be open to cultivating ideas collaboratively. The ability to present and speak confidently to clients, and in front of groups, would also be magnificent.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, a healthy passion for alcohol, caffeine and laughter isn’t essential, but would be hugely advantageous.
