Brand Brum 2016 Photography Contest

To celebrate World Photography Day on August 19th, we launched a competition with the good folks at Retail Birmingham BID for photographers to Brand Brum with a series of photographs. In no more than 10 photos, they had to show the world and our judges what Birmingham’s brand meant to them. We had almost 1000 photos submitted from some of the West Midlands amazing creative talent. Expert judges from around Birmingham all agreed on one entry that stood out. The winner of our first ever BrandBrum competition was Hanny Foxhall! She was able to showcase the creativity, beauty, realness and special moments that sum up Birmingham.

Discovering how to take over social media in 20 minutes

We invited guests to ORB’s Toolshed to find out all about building their brand on social media. Stepping into the Toolshed to give insights into the world of branding and social media were ORB’s very own Robert Bloxham and Lauren Bansal and our very special guest, Steven Bartlett from Social Chain – the most talked about and biggest influencer agency in the UK. Over 100 people from around the West Midlands attended the event. The night’s festivities were all about learning how social media is one of the most powerful tools you can use to build an authentic brand. During the event, there was an endless supply of knowledge bombs, beer and tool based puns.
